There are numerous places in Tangilla where your Association brand elements (logo, colors) will be controlled by Tangilla. This guideline is designed to help you understand what is required to make this work effectively.
If your organization has a Brand Style Guide, we would like to have a copy of the guide to use when creating the color scheme for your system emails and your Member Portal. Here is an excellent example from Columbus REALTORS®: columbusrealtors_styleguide2021.pdf. This PDF provides logo useage and specific color guidelines.
Because Tangilla uses .svg files to speed display and to properly show your logos at the resolution required by each screen type, we require that all logos are submitted in a "vector-based" file format.
.ai: Short for Adobe Illustrator, this file is commonly used in print media and digital graphics, such as logos.
.eps: Encapsulated PostScript is an older type of vector graphics file. .eps files don’t always support transparency in the way more modern file formats like .ai do.
.pdf: The Portable Document Format is built for the exchange of documents across platforms and is editable in Adobe Acrobat.
.svg: The Scalable Vector Graphics format is based in XML (a markup language used widely across the Internet that's readable by both machines and humans). It’s useful for the web, where it can be indexed, searched, and scripted.
Adobe Illustrator is the most common application used to create logo files, so a .ai file is preferred. However, any vector-based format will work, including .eps, .pdf and, of course,.svg. If you already have your logos in the Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg) format, please feel free to send them solely in that format.
The three Columbus REALTORS® logos show below are all using the exact same .svg file. The scaling is happeing in the code here and the quality is maintained at any size.
We can only get to this result with vector-based original logos.
Please note: Do not save a raster graphic (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .tif or .tiff) in a vector format. This will not provide the results shown above.
